- The American Amish Company has sold and delivered over 20,000 structures in the
northeast in the last 10 years
- We're a family owned business located in the world famous Shenandoah Valley.
Our farm was established in 1748 as a land grant from Lord Fairfax. We have a common knowledge of farming with
the Amish community and families.
- Because of the large amount of Amish structures we have sold in the last 10 years,
we have sorted through the "not-so-good" Amish builders and the "GREAT" Amish builders. We
use only the Best Amish builders that use the latest building technology and materials.
- Because we grew up and live on a large apple farm, we have excellent outdoor
agricultural experience and equipment knowledge to facilitate building and delivery of all custom structures to
fit your exact needs.
- As a customer, you represent just one structure to an Amish company. However,
when you buy from a reputable dealer, like us, we sell thousands of buildings a year for the Amish builders. We
have our own company carpenters for warranty or delivery issues that may arise once in a while. Most Amish builders
will not travel long distance for minor issues or cosmetic repairs. They don't drive, but we will travel for repairs.
Don't be fooled by large home improvement stores selling cheap buildings made with inferior materials. And remember,
those large chain home improvement stores don't even delivery their own buildings.
- American Amish company Amish builders use tar paper under a shingled roof. Many
other "Amish" builders do not.
- American Amish Company will NEVER use OSB or particle board for any reason. Big
retailers and other Amish builders use OSB and particle lumber to cut costs, but this leads to inferior structures.
Here at the American Amish Company we believe we changed the Amish shed industry, especially in the Shenandoah
Valley when we made it our standard policy to not accept OSB or particle lumber for any reason.
- Our windows are framed with 2x4's. Most other builders are not.
- We use treated plywood on our garages. Most others do not.
- The American Amish Company uses 2 stacked 2x4's on top of each other between
the roof and side walls. Most other builders only use a single 2x4 on the top plate.
- We now use SheildTech Insulation in our roof area of all structures. SheildTech
reduces roof moisture and decreases heat reduction in your shed by 30-40%. It also guarantees a complete roof seal
from moisture, insects and against heat.
